When you have the time to read it will all become clear ^^

For short: All classes will be whitelisted, some joined through applying on the forums, some through contacting certain classes in character, and some through specific activities (such as illegal behavious for the outlaw class). You may not always get the class you want, but any job is better than no job. You certainly wont be jumping straight from an unemployed citizen to a businessman; it would usually progress as: Unemployed Citizen->Litter Picker->Supplier->Businessman.

You will have to work your way up in this world.

Re: The Serious RP Job System

Sounds nice, but I don't like the Official Wares Dealer that much, and actually had a different idea for firearms in the Serious RP server:

All firearms and weapons are delivered via supply lines, in regular intervals.
A special Official Class, "Manager" let's call it, is ordered to handle the supply lines by going up to them, manufacturing the certain weapons and ammo (they need to pay for it of course, otherwise resources will run out and weapons will no longer be delivered) and sending the supply crate away.
Perhaps a once per 30 minutes regular interval, with the Mayor being able to rush one or cancel one (during lockdowns the supply lines are closed).
Therefore, it is also the Manager's job to stop smugglers from stealing weapons. Weapon theft could handle like the Manager, or it could be a random weapon/ammo combination in there in case of Smugglers.

Plus, Mayor should have some exceptions, and not be admin-only. Only a select few from the community will be able to gain access to it.

Disagree that only Admins can be mayor. I think trusted members should be allowed to temporarily act as a mayor.

The weapons system I propose allows us to easily control the amount of firearms in circulation (we don't want another DM-fest now do we?), stopping it when desired, rather than having a constant supply as you state. Weapons will not be created unless there is an appropriate ranking member online. It also adds need to find the dealer, rather than walking to a supply line. Supply lines also require extr map features - we don't want to be bound to just one map.

Guns will be incredibly rare on this server, with interesting roleplay required to obtain them -> bribing a firearms dealer for example, or knocking out and tying a police officer, before stripping him of his weapons/radio and leaving him to rot. If you have a gun, you will not make it public knowledge; if the officials catch wind of this you will be arrested, and your firearm taken if discovered. The system of containers Lexi is currently developing will also allow you to hide these items discreetly.

Disagree that only Admins can be mayor. I think trusted members should be allowed to temporarily act as a mayor.

There will be no 'temporary' jobs. Once you create a character, it stays as the job you obtain, although you may have multiple characters.

As the mayor can also alter peoples classes it requires an admin behind it, although there are always exceptions.

This will not be like the Light RP server with mayors rolling into and out of power upon death, there will be a few long-standing mayors who will alternate their time in power - a mayor will not simply leave the position upon death, unless the character is permanently killed.

5 deaths = permakill, unless arranged otherwise. You will not want to die on this server. If a mayor is killed, that player's mayor character will become temporarily disabled - say for 24 hours without admin intervention - forcing them to use another character.

Things will be very different from Light RP.

Well, if you can disarm officials, while they're still alive, I'm a happy man.

That is the intention, yes =D.

Do it right and they will just be walking -> Unconscious (Chloroform etc) -> Wake up without a gun. They won't even know what hit them.

Or by tying them and the like, right? So they can be awake when their weapon is taken away from them, then get shot in the firing arm (right in the server) and the head. Good times.

Best not to let them see your face in-case they escape haha.

Then you will be hunted down, and most likely perma-killed.
