Changing from NLR to RJS Ok so as i know the server used the new life rule. Which in my experiance enables deathmatching and random money losses. The RJS (relative justice system) works alot better...
Say if person A kills person B, person B can kill person A as long as person A hasnt already been killed. Then once this has happened there is on fued much like NLR just you remember who killed you. |

Re: Changing from NLR to RJS It might work out, but that would just mean more killing and it would be hard to determine between person a killing person b and person b killing person a.

Re: Changing from NLR to RJS Quote Say if person A kills person B, person B can kill person A as long as person A hasnt already been killed. This is the most ******** thing EVER. a kills b, b kills a, a kills b for killing a, it will go on forever and is ********. |

Re: Changing from NLR to RJS Ok so as i know the server used the new life rule. Which in my experiance enables deathmatching and random money losses. The RJS (relative justice system) works alot better... Say if person A kills person B, person B can kill person A as long as person A hasnt already been killed. Then once this has happened there is on fued much like NLR just you remember who killed you. Thats not the RJS, that is just the absense of any rule. There are no benefits to it. The NLR aims to stop exacly this behavious and when admins are on it is enforced. What you are explaining is a loophole into deathmatching, because after a while you could just kill anyone and say "they killed me first", even though they did it says ago. If the NLR is followed properly, it works: New Life Rule (NLR): When you die, you forget everything that has happened to you in the previous life; you do not know where you died or who killed you so you cannot seek revenge or immediately return to your scene of death. When you are released from jail you also start a new life (unless you are broken out of jail) so the same ruleset must be followed. -KiZai As written in the rules thread. -KiZai __________________ ![]() |

Re: Changing from NLR to RJS Look if person A kills person B person B has the choice to kill person A so long as person A hasnt already died. One person B dies again or person A dies it goes back to normal.

Re: Changing from NLR to RJS Yes, in theory it would work, but can you not see the opportunity for hundreds of random DMs?
It is a lot easier to keep the NLR rather than teach everyone what RJS is. It is very longwinded to explain, as opposed to 'If someone kills you, that's it. Your character doesn't remember. Cos he's dead.' And typing all in caps is obviously cruise control for cool. Oh yeah, NLR still allows avenging of your death by someone else who saw it happen, as long as there is a valid roleplay reason.
