Thread: What do i need next?

So basically when i play on gmod server i have some problems connecting it takes me bout 3-4 minutes to connect since my lack of knowledge of hardware i need help heres my specs:

to remove every addon you have apart from phx3 which you need to de-svn and put the contents of into your garrysmod folder?

It WILL WORK also you will find that gmod will run faster without all those add-ons cloging it up :3

i can't seem to find you video card on that...

i can confirm that having a better computer means faster everything except when ur sending client info you gotta have little to no addons for that to be fast

that's what I did. Every addon you have adds a minimum of 20s onto loadtime. Every folder in that addon adds 5s. PHX is made of folders. This issue does not come up when you copy the contents of an addon to the garrysmod folder, though lots of folders will slow you a bit.

Well .. His CPU is a single core..

And not exceptionally fast either.

Pentium D = Pentium Dual Core = 2 Pentium 4's = 2 x 2.8Ghz

Garrys mod is not a multicore game. It only uses 1 core at a time anyway and it being 2.8GHz its pretty decent.

It only uses 1 core? D:
I guess my Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz     is pretty useless seeing as this is the only game I play
