Thread: laptops/online selling system

Alright, do you sometimes have unwanted things such as spare knives and guns, want to sell them for cheap, but nobody wants to buy them?I was thinking of having laptops implemented in the server, so we can sell stuff "online", like an evocity ebay or amazon.


So how it would work-

1. You would turn on your laptop

2. And the evocity ebay/amazon thing would pop up in your screen.

3. On the screen, you would have two tabs labeled as "sell" and "buy"

4. clicking on the "sell" tab would load a page with the item model, item name, cost, and your own or the regular description. So you can set the price of the item, do w/e, and click "ok"

5. Then your item would go on the "buy list", and if people click on your item, they see the sell page, and click "buy" or "back"

--Buying--

1. most of it explained on the top, but you would click buy, a list of items that others want to be sold would pop up, you would click on the item, and buy it.


So this would be ALOT easier for arms dealers, cooks, medics, and other people that want to sell.


...and you would have to buy the laptop, of course

The problem with this is that it would completely eliminate shopkeeper roleplay.

It needs further thought before it could be implemented.

then we can make the laptops expensive, so it would cost about 25k or more for a laptop

Dosen't seem too reliable.
It could be an ideea to be able to sell only legal weapons.

A system similar to this has been planned for months and is awaiting completion. It will allow players to sell items at store tab prices to an external buyer (ie not anyone on the server, removing the items from circulation), allowing players to get rid of items they don't want with only a small amount of hassle and without losing too much money. More information relating to this will be disclosed at a later date.

I think the price should be set below store price.

Why? Generally you don't buy items for store price, you pay store + whatever tax the merchant wants.

Even when Lexi is the last poster the text on the side bar goes backwards
