Thread: Experiment High Definition Content Pack

Hey all,

I thought I would be nice and helpful and let you get ahead of the game; there is going to be some new content for when experiment comes back up to say thanks for waiting. To keep the download when you join the server small, the textures have been compressed on the server which results in a lower resolution and far lower detail. I can supply you with a fix, however. The file below is comprised of high definition textures to make everything far more visually appealing. You can either download this before you connect, or after you have downloaded the low resolution versions, that does not matter.

I am going to assume you have WinRar; if you do not, go get it. Simply download the .rar file, place it in your steamapps/<your username>/garrysmod/garrysmod/ folder, right click it, and select "extract here" and it will unpack for you.

If you failed to do this, however, extract it anywhere, and copy and paste the "materials" folder from inside the pack to your garrysmod root directory, (typically C:/program files/steam/steamapps/<your username>/garrysmod/garrysmod/) and then join the server.

Any problems, post here. Get this now and it will save you a hefty download when you join the server when it comes back up.
