yes I can see it being abused but not anymore than arrests and the like...

because I'm just sick of people leaving cars in the road, it would look like this

/impound player

cop takes out his stun baton, right clicks and the car dissapears to the owners inventory (the owner is than charged 150$ fine or whatever...)

this is of course abusable but not much more than arrest or searches.

If people are being charged money each time someone types /impound * player name* then what happens when someone rages, goes Mayor and just spams the shit out of a single person or everyone?

Ofcourse, a ban would follow but damage would be done.

This could work however if the next update brings a rule where only trusted members can go Police/Mayor, which I hear is being implanted.

same thing happens when a cop gets raged and goes glock pew pew all over the city.

of course it will be followed by a ban and hopefully a blacklist but it's only a 150 dollar charge, we make more salary than that and you can only place your car every 5 minutes (salary time)

How about being able to steal an impounded car? Or your impounded car to be precise. It shouldn't cost anything but a car alarm (/request Player1's car is emitting a loud alarm sound!) will be triggered.

Well, with the update and being able to steal cars etc, maybe you could encourage the rule at the beginning of this, people not parking in the middle of the road, by making it easy for people to steal impounded cars. That way, A: People wont want to get their car impound further improving the 'car-in-road' scenario and also adding a new aspect to car stealing as well as a area for cops to guard.

All-round win?

Maybe doing it warrant style will take too much time, so its indeed better to give the police an impound tool.
Maybe people will make a guarded parking so your car will be monitored for a small fee.
